Cleo, a beautiful black blanket, bred by Freddy and Leny Van Der Velden spent her time in quaratine with Meg Purnell-Carpenter at Overhill Kennels. "Cleo" mated to Lancer produced two litters of 3 puppies, Centurion and Megan from the 1st litter are the two from which all of our hounds are decended. Montague from the 2nd litter was owned and loved by Mrs Marion Brown [St. Hubert]

Here are photographs of the hounds we have had our success with, and with their litter mates where applicable, we are pleased to say since 1979, Islwyn Basset Hounds either owned or bred by us have won in excess of 90 CCs and 70 RCCs, innumerable Best Puppy Awards at General and Breed Championship shows and Best in Show at every Basset Hound Club Championship Show. We were awarded Top Bitch 2001, Top Brood Bitch, Runner Up Top Bitch and Top Breeders 2002.
